These Service Conditions govern the provision of transportation services by M.E.R.C.Y INT LLC. By booking or using our services, you agree to these conditions in full.
1. Prearranged Service Only
All M.E.R.C.Y INT LLC transportation is prearranged. We do not offer on-demand or hail service. Bookings must be confirmed by the carrier before service begins. A booking request submitted through our website or by phone does not constitute a confirmed reservation until we provide explicit confirmation.
2. Rates & Charges
All fares are governed by Official Tariff No. 1 (MF-APSC #4201), effective April 15, 2026:
- Base fare: $20.00 per person, each way.
- Mileage: $1.50 per mile, measured from pickup to dropoff per the Official Alabama Highway Map.
- Waiting time: $10.00 per 10 minutes ($60.00 per hour), after a 5-minute grace period, when passengers request the vehicle to hold.
- Pet fee: $10.00 for domestic animals. Service animals ride free.
- Cleaning/damage fee: Applied as needed based on condition of vehicle following service.
- Additional stops: Billed per applicable tariff rates.
3. Payment Terms
All fares are due in advance unless a billing account has been established with M.E.R.C.Y INT LLC. Accepted payment methods: cash, certified check, money order, cashier’s check, government-issued check, or valid credit card with proper identification.
Post-trip adjustments (such as waiting time charges, additional stops, or cleaning fees) will be charged to your payment method on file. All payments are final and non-refundable except as stated in our Cancellation Policy.
4. Passenger Conduct
Passengers agree to conduct themselves in a manner that is safe, respectful, and non-disruptive. The carrier reserves the right to refuse or terminate service, without refund, if a passenger:
- Is intoxicated or under the influence of controlled substances.
- Is incapable of self-care without posing a risk to themselves or others.
- Engages in conduct objectionable to other passengers or the driver.
- Brings alcohol or open containers into the vehicle.
- Brings articles likely to cause harm or damage to the vehicle or other passengers.
5. Baggage & Personal Belongings
Personal belongings and baggage may be transported at no additional charge, subject to vehicle capacity. M.E.R.C.Y INT LLC is not responsible for loss or damage to passenger belongings except where such loss or damage is directly caused by the carrier, in which case liability is limited to the reasonable value of the item(s) affected.
The carrier assumes no responsibility for contraband, prohibited items, or items not disclosed at the time of booking.
6. Companion Aid Services
Companion Aid rides include a M.E.R.C.Y INT certified caregiver who travels exclusively with the client throughout the trip. This service is for 1 caregiver and 1 client only, in a private vehicle. Companion Aid rides cannot be combined with Standard or Premium service types. These services are strictly non-medical. M.E.R.C.Y INT provided caregivers give personal care support and accompaniment during transport only. They are not licensed medical professionals and do not provide clinical, nursing, or medical services of any kind. Companion Aid rides are limited to 1 caregiver and 1 client. This service cannot be combined with Standard or Premium service types.
Minimum booking for Companion Aid service is 2 hours.
7. Vehicle Standards
M.E.R.C.Y INT LLC maintains all service vehicles in clean, safe, and operational condition. All vehicles are furnished with functioning windows, upholstery, air conditioning, and safety features prior to each service.
8. Service Area
M.E.R.C.Y INT LLC is authorized to operate across all cities and counties in the State of Alabama (intrastate traffic only). Interstate or out-of-state transportation is not covered under this tariff or these Service Conditions.
9. Disputes & Chargebacks
Customers who dispute charges in good faith are encouraged to contact us directly at 205-336-3802 or info@mercyserv.com before initiating a chargeback. Unauthorized chargebacks will be contested using documented service records, GPS trip logs, booking confirmation data, and booking agreement acceptance records.
10. Governing Law
These Service Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama and applicable APSC regulations. All disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Alabama courts.
